She Believed...

She Believed...

A little bit about how these lovely dishes are made…

As I work with my gray soap dish clay. I had scraps left over and I mix some of it with Moses's White clay. I fell in love with the marbled look, not blended mind you, but smashed and pressed together in a very unique way. I loved that it was uncontrollable and unpredictable. The results are always different. It's a surprise when it's finished to see the gorgeous patterning the little bits of the Old Clay makes. It's a process.

You have to understand. It's a process… you've got to see it through all the way to the end.

As I was smashing and pressing this clay together, I was reminded of how much my life changed as a result of my brain tumor diagnosis and after waking up from the craniotomy a little bit of the old me was woven into my new reality. I had to learn to trust the process of healing, relearning and living. It's a lot more work to make the marbled clay, extra steps and Care is needed. The clay encouraged me because it was just like rebuilding and relearning after any type of trauma or injury.

Sometimes we take more time and have a lot of extra steps to deal with to create or just go through daily life.

So just as I can't predict or know 100%, how this dish will turn out. I can trust the process because I know and understand that clay and soap dish making is a process. When I don't give up and I go through the extra steps, The following through. I can press on, trusting the process cuz I know my clay is in good
hands and I understand the process. So just like in my life, I had to learn to trust the process.

The creators process of healing and recovery cuz just like this dish, I am clay and I’m in the good hands of my Creator the ultimate Potter.

For me, this quote is based off my ultimate belief that is found in these verses.

  • Jeremiah 29:11 - For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
  • Romans 15:13- Now, may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
  • Mark 9:23 - Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”

Take a look at these dishes that are 100% completed, went through the whole process. Look how truly beautiful the old gray becomes when contrasted with the new white clay. Look how pretty the cobalt blue sunflower and quote stand out…

She believed she could, so she did.

Thank you for letting me share with your parts of my healing journey... remember to keep believing, Anything is possible and TRUST the process.

Much love, Ms. Jenny
